CORONA DEL MAR — A 31-year-old live-in housekeeper drowned in the swimming pool of her employer Sunday afternoon, police said.
The woman, whose name was not released, was found floating near the bottom of an 8-foot-deep pool on White Sails Way at 3:45 p.m., said Police Sgt. Kent Stoddard.
“The family had left the house more than two hours earlier, leaving the housekeeper home alone,” Stoddard said. “When they arrived home, they found her in the pool.”
A police officer pulled the woman from the pool and administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation. She was taken to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, where she was pronounced dead at 4:35 p.m.
“We have no reason to suspect foul play,” Stoddard said.
