Texas Judge Limits Anti-Abortion Protests
HOUSTON — A state court judge ordered anti-abortion protesters to stay away from the homes of eight Houston-area physicians who perform abortions.
Harris County District Court Judge Eileen O’Neill issued a temporary restraining order late Thursday. It prohibits protesters from coming within 500 feet of the homes and blocks them from making verbal threats toward the doctors or their families.
Anti-abortion protesters said after the ruling, which also bars the use of bull horns within 2,500 feet of the doctors’ homes, that they will continue to picket the doctors.
