An ordination and installation service for Sue Root will be Sunday at Shepherd of the Hills Church in Laguna Niguel. She will be ordained as a Disciples of Christ minister and will serve at Shepherd of the Hills in a special ministry working with disabled people. She earned a master of divinity degree from the Claremont School of Theology.
Shepherd of the Hills Church is a cooperative between the Disciples of Christ and the United Church of Christ denominations. Representatives from both denominations will participate in the 4 p.m. service at 30121 Niguel Road. Information: (714) 495-1310.
