VAN NUYS : Man Gets Life Sentence for Killing His Parents
A man who was convicted of murdering his parents was sentenced Friday to life in prison without possibility of parole.
During his hourlong sentencing hearing in Van Nuys Superior Court, Jeffrey Percell, 35, told the judge that he was “not going to have remorse for something I didn’t do.â€
Percell was found guilty in March of the Nov. 16, 1988, murders of John and Doris Percell of Sierra Madre. The bodies of the 61-year-old couple were found bound and gagged in the their home. Both had been shot in the head, and a Bible had been put on Doris Percell’s body.
