Sales of Condos Sink 47%; Home Sales Flat in 3 Areas
Sales of existing condominiums in Simi Valley, Moorpark and Santa Rosa fell 47% during May compared with a year earlier, while sales of single-family homes were virtually flat, according to the Simi Valley-Moorpark Assn. of Realtors.
Only 17 condos were sold in May, while 147 single-family homes were sold.
Resale prices of both types of housing in the region continued to slip in May. Condominiums sold for an average of $145,780, down 2% from a year ago. The average resale price of single-family homes fell 9%, to $219,541.
