Alzheimer’s care facility: Regency Health Services Inc., a Newport Beach-based operator of nursing homes, said Monday that it has agreed to acquire a nursing home in Vista for $3.3 million.
Regency Health said it will buy Vista Knoll, a 119-bed nursing home in San Diego County for patients with Alzheimer’s disease and other non-emergency conditions. Though the deal is not expected to close until July 31, Regency began operating the facility last week.
Cecil Mays, its president, said the acquisition is Regency’s first move into the San Diego area. The company operates 36 health-care facilities in California.
