New Incorporations in U.S. Rise 6%: New business incorporations rose 6% to 666,800 from 628,604 in 1992, marking the first increase since 1986, according to a Dun & Bradstreet Corp. survey. Last year, 44 states reported increases in new incorporations. In five states, the start-ups jumped 20% or more. Florida led the pack in sheer numbers, with 86,037 new incorporations, followed by New York with 67,503 and California with 36,973.
