O.C. Surfers Advance in Collins Event

HUNTINGTON BEACH — Huntington Beach surfers Craig Betchloff, Jeff Deffenbaugh, Bud Llamas and Bobby Lockhart advanced to the main event Round 2 of the $28,500 Richie Collins Drug Use Is Life Abuse event Thursday at Huntington State Beach.
Donovan Frankenreiter of Mission Viejo and Jason Senn of San Clemente also were among those who advanced in the event, the fifth stop on the $200,000 Bud Surf Tour.
The competition continues at 7 a.m. today.
