Ethnic Studies

As a non-activist type up till now, I’d like a little input on the teaching of multiculturalism.
Students who mindlessly push for their ethnic studies might be better off if they studied Latin. The intellectual and mental discipline alone would help them. Also, Latin, more than the easy credit pet subjects, is the world-class carrier of common concepts upon which our civilization rests. It is the language that set the standards for excellence in literature, culture and philosophy.
