The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between May 24 and 30:
Glendale
East Broadway, 1400 block--Thieves stole a TV and VCR, valued together at $800, from a combined junior and senior high school in a theft discovered May 24.
East Lomita Avenue, 200 block--Two microphones, valued together at $400, and $1.25 in loose change were stolen from a church about 9:30 a.m. May 24.
South Glendale Avenue, 100 block--A bartender’s jewelry, valued at $450, was stolen from her purse while she was helping customers between 11 and 11:45 p.m. May 24.
East Colorado Street, 1100 block--After breaking into a service station, thieves found the cash-register key and stole $100 in small denominations between 1 and 6 a.m. May 25.
Alameda Avenue, 1100 block--Thieves broke into a storage area and stole tools, valued at $1,010, May 25.
West Doran Street, 300 block--A bandit with a gun stole $500 from a woman as she tried to get out of her car in an underground garage at 11:58 p.m. May 26.
Glenwood Road, 700 block--After breaking windows in three rooms, thieves stole two VCRs, valued together at $800, from an elementary school on May 26 or 27.
Glendale Galleria--A woman’s purse, containing $450 in cash, was stolen as she ate lunch at noon May 30.
Eagle Rock
Colorado Boulevard, 700 block--Thieves stole camera equipment and other property, valued together at $1,150, from a church. The theft was discovered May 24.
Yosemite Drive, 2300 block--Jewelry, valued at $1,500, was stolen from a private residence in a theft discovered May 26.
North Avenue 47, 1400 block--Robbers with a gun stole a man’s wallet, containing $30, and his car at 11:50 p.m. May 26.
Echo Park
Figueroa Terrace, 900 block--Thieves stole money and computer equipment, valued together at $2,829, between 7:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. May 25.
Park Drive, 2000 block--Robbers with a gun ordered a man to lie down in a garage and stole jewelry, valued at $400, at 2:20 p.m. May 26.
Portia Street, 1500 block--After forcing a rear window open, thieves stole camera and video equipment, valued together at $1,190, between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. May 28.
Glassell Park
Glover Place, 2200 block--Robbers with a gun tied up the occupants of a private residence and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $425, at 8 p.m. May 24.
West Avenue 26, 500 block--Entering through an unlocked rear door, thieves stole tools and other property, valued together at $4,650, from a business between 2:15 and 3:30 p.m. May 26.
Highland Park
Marie Avenue, 600 block--Thieves stole tools and sporting goods, valued together at $1,345, from an unlocked garage between 12:30 and 7:45 p.m. May 26.
South Avenue 56, 200 block--Thieves stole appliances and a TV, valued together at $3,450, from a private residence in a theft discovered May 27.
Abbott Place, 5300 block--After breaking open a dog door, thieves ransacked bedrooms and stole jewelry, valued at $1,700, between 2:30 and 3:15 p.m. May 28.
North Avenue 56, 400 block--Robbers lured a man to a location with a promise of sex for money, then brandished what appeared to be a gun and robbed the man of cash and jewelry of unknown value at 3:40 a.m. May 29.
Echo Street, 500 block--Armed robbers gun ordered the occupants of a house to lie face down while they stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $1,500, at 8:30 p.m. May 28.
Avenue 51 and York Boulevard--Brandishing a gun, a bandit took $170 from a man at an automated teller machine at 1:30 a.m. May 29.
North Figueroa Street, 6600 block--Robbers with a gun stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $800, from a fast-food restaurant at 9:55 p.m. May 29.
Los Feliz
Kingswell Avenue, 4300 block--Thieves stole sporting goods and other property, valued together at $1,050, from an unlocked garage in a theft discovered May 24.
Ambrose Avenue, 4400 block--A robber stole a woman’s car at gunpoint at 2 a.m. May 24.
Edgemont Street, 1700 block--After stealing jewelry and video equipment of unknown value, thieves sold the items to other tenants in the building between 3 and 4 a.m. May 25.
North Griffith Park Boulevard, 3400 block--Thieves stole household goods and tools, valued together at $6,065, on May 26 or 27.
Franklin Avenue and Saint George Street--Two robbers with a knife and a club surrounded a man and stole his wallet, containing $35, at 11 p.m. May 27.
Boulevard and Fountain Avenue--A thief stole a woman’s convertible and jewelry, valued together at $18,730, at 10:35 p.m. May 29.
Mt. Washington
Figueroa Street, 5300 block--Thieves forced open the rear window of a business and stole cash and a TV, valued together at $1,140, on May 24 or 25.
North Figueroa Street, 5400 block--A knife-wielding bandit stole a man’s car at
5 a.m. May 30.
Silver Lake
Baxter and Alvarado streets--While one robber hit a woman, a second stole her purse, containing $120, at 9:05 a.m. May 25.
Waterloo Street, 1600 block--Thieves stole a TV and jewelry, valued together at $6,400, from a private residence between 1 and 11:30 p.m. May 26.
West Sunset Boulevard, 2500 block--Robbers with a sawed-off shotgun stole $100 from a store at 7 p.m. May 29.
Griffith Park Boulevard, 2400 block--After smashing a rear-door window, thieves entered a home and stole cash and jewelry, valued together at $32,780, on May 29 or 30.
