Man Killed in Drive-By Shooting
SANTA ANA — A man was killed in a drive-by shooting early Sunday morning as he and two friends were returning home from a party, police said.
David Araujo, 20, of Santa Ana, and his friends were walking at the intersection of Anahurst Place and Greenville Street when a car pulled up to them just before 2 a.m., police said.
Several shots were fired from the car, and one struck Araujo in the back of the head, Sgt. Brian Collins said. Araujo died at a nearby hospital, he said.
Police had no suspects Sunday, but Collins said they believe the shooting was gang-related.
