Metalcald Losses Grow: Metalclad Corp., the Newport Beach provider of hazardous-waste treatment and industrial insulation services, reported a first-quarter loss of $2.1 million. That compared to a loss of $1.2 million for the same period last year. The company attributed the loss mainly to expenses involved in setting up an environmental cleanup business in Mexico. Three-month revenue was $4.7 million, up from $4.6 million a year earlier.
