Encore Cable TV Network to Launch Six New Channels: Cable TV movie channel Encore will spin off six new different cable TV networks, each devoted to a single theme such as Westerns, love stories or mysteries. The new channels, which will be available beginning in July, 1994, are partly in response to the cable industry’s rollout of 500 channels. Encore is affiliated with cable TV giant Tele-Communications Inc.
