Stripping Cars Pays: A local car salesman and a cartoonist were hoisted to national fame recently when USA Today picked up one of their strips.
Pete Critelli, manager of fleet car sales for Tuttle-Click Automotive in Irvine, and Santa Ana resident Fred Treadgold have been putting together a comic strip for a local auto publication, Orange County Dealer.
Recently, a story in USA Today about weight limits for flight attendants inspired a strip. The newspaper liked it and printed it.
More often, the pair lampoon the car dealership business. “It’s a natural subject,” Critelli said.
