Microsemi Corp.: The Santa Ana maker of custom semiconductor chips reported that profit for its second fiscal quarter declined to $154,000, or 2 cents a share, from $594,000, or 8 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue for the three months ended April 4 was up 55% to $32 million from $20.6 million. For the first half of its fiscal year, the company reported a profit of $402,000, or 5 cents a share. That compared to earnings of $889,000, or 12 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Six-month sales were $62.5 million, up from $40.1 million.
