CLASS ATHLETE: Despite being a top athlete and a B student, Moorpark High’s Richard Hernandez suffered a family-imposed suspension as a junior after getting a D in an algebra class. . . . But the three-sport standout, now a senior, has bounced back to become Moorpark’s team leader and captain in baseball, basketball and football. He also has a 3.0 grade-point average (C6).
