Defending El Encanto
I read with disbelief David Goldman’s critique (Ventura County Life, April 15) of El Encanto. With my husband, a connoisseur of fine food and service, I have dined at El Encanto since the mid-’50s, and we have entertained guests there many times over the years and continue to do so.
We have found that unlike other fine restaurants, which we have frequented through the years, that El Encanto is the only one that has maintained its high quality of excellence in food preparation and presentation and service.
