Much Ado About Seattle: Kenneth Branagh’s new film, “Much Ado About Nothing,� will open the 19th Annual Seattle Film Festival on Friday night. The movie version of Shakespeare’s play--starring Branagh; his wife, Oscar winner Emma Thompson, and Denzel Washington--has already sold out at the festival. Branagh is scheduled to attend the opening. The festival’s June 6 finale will be Stephen Soderbergh’s “King of the Hill,� starring Jeroen Krabbe and Lisa Eichorn. World premieres will run throughout the festival, including “Me and Veronica,� starring Patricia Wettig and Elizabeth McGovern, and “Tom and Jerry: The Movie.� A festival highlight: Director John Schlesinger (“Midnight Cowboy,� “Marathon Man�) will be paid a tribute on May 27.
