HOLLYWOOD : Public’s Help Sought in Identifying Toddler
Police asked for help identifying a 15-month-old Latino boy who was found on a doorstep by a janitor Monday at 3:30 a.m.
The toddler was wearing pajama bottoms and a jacket, and a diaper bag was found nearby, said Los Angeles Police Sgt. Frank Guarino. The janitor called the police, who took the child to the Hollywood Station. Later, the baby was placed in the custody of the county Department of Children’s Services and is expected to be placed in a foster home.
“The child was found well taken care of, but that’s not in the parent’s defense,†Guarino said. “If the parents are found, obviously criminal charges will be filed with the district attorney’s office.â€
Anyone knowing the identity of the child or his parents is urged to call police at (213) 485-4302.
