Dolco Packaging’s Profit Up on 8% Sales Gain
Dolco Packaging Corp., a Sherman Oaks maker of plastic packaging products, said its first-quarter profit more than doubled on an 8% sales gain.
For the three months ended March 31, Dolco’s net income climbed to $1.1 million from $533,000 a year earlier. Sales grew to $15.8 million from $14.6 million.
The increases resulted from an expanding product line and customer base, the company said. Also, the price of resin, a key raw material in Dolco’s products, fell 3% during the quarter.
