Toyota Buys More American Parts: Toyota Motor Corp. said in Los Angeles that it purchased $4.43 billion worth of U.S.-made parts and materials in its 1992 fiscal year ended March 31, up from $3.14 billion in the previous year. Toyota also reiterated its goal to increase such purchases to $5.28 billion for its 1994 fiscal year. Most of the parts were sold to the company’s American operations.
