Driver Strikes, Kills Woman Pedestrian
GRANADA HILLS — A woman was struck by a car and fatally injured while walking across a street in Granada Hills, Los Angeles police said Wednesday.
Dorothy Glowaski, 62, of Granada Hills was treated at Holy Cross Medical Center and pronounced dead just before midnight Tuesday.
Glowaski was walking north across Chatsworth Street near Genesta Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday when she was struck by a car driven by Orlando Ramos, 21, who was heading west on Chatsworth, police said.
Ramos, of Chatsworth, was questioned at the scene but not cited because officers determined that he was not speeding and did not see Glowaski, police said.
