In another Empire League game:

El Dorado 4, Cypress 3--Nikki Hart, Lindsey Bishop, Heather Patterson and Andrea Murray each drove in a run in the sixth inning at El Dorado (11-5, 2-2).

In the Century League:

El Modena 4, Orange 0--Karen Bartkiewicz and Alexis Beckman each had two hits and an RBI for visiting El Modena (10-3, 2-1).

Villa Park 6, Santa Ana Valley 1--Tammy Kincaid pitched a no-hitter with six strikeouts for the host Spartans (17-4, 4-0).

Foothill 1, Canyon 0--Amy Tessman (10-4) pitched a five-hitter with seven strikeouts for host Foothill (13-9, 3-1).

In the Freeway League:

Fullerton 6, Buena Park 1--Deborah Hargrave had two hits and two RBIs and Angie Fancuberta pitched a one-hitter for visiting Fullerton (9-13, 1-3).

La Habra 1, Sonora 0--Danielle Ortega pitched a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk for the Highlanders (15-4, 3-1).

Sunny Hills 3, Troy 0--Megumi Takaski went three for four with an RBI for visiting Sunny Hills (8-8, 4-0). Patty Parkinson and Krista Ellefsen each doubled for the Lancers.

In the Garden Grove League:

Kennedy 6, Santiago 1--Nicole Paloney had 10 strikeouts and went three for three for Kennedy (16-2, 6-1). Kennedy’s Lana Jimenez went three for four, stole three bases and scored two runs.

Pacifica 3, Garden Grove 0--Kristin Freed scored and had an RBI for Pacifica (12-6, 6-1). Garden Grove drops to 14-7, 5-2.

In the Olympic League:

Calvary Chapel 6, Ontario Christian 4--Jessina Stedman’s one-out single in the bottom of the sixth led Calvary Chapel (4-15, 3-4) past Ontario Christian (4-8, 3-4).

Whittier Christian 12, Capistrano Valley Christian 0 (5 innings, mercy rule)--Debbie Goddu pitched a no-hitter with eight strikeouts for visiting Whittier Christian (5-9, 5-2). It was Goddu’s second no-hitter this week.

In the Orange League:

Brea-Olinda 1, Western 0--Gretchen Thompson tripled and scored on an error in the fourth. Andrea Schuette struck out eight for Brea (12-8, 4-0).

Valencia 4, Anaheim 3--Catcher Carrie Ritchey threw out all five runners who tried to steal to help preserve the victory for Valencia (3-9, 2-2).

Savanna 3, Magnolia 1--Sara Works had two RBIs for host Savanna (7-7-1, 4-0).

In the Pacific Coast League:

Costa Mesa 9, Laguna Beach 3--Pitcher Anna Ospina had seven strikeouts for Costa Mesa (9-4, 3-1). Teammate Jennifer Long went two for three with a RBI.
