In conjunction with the renovation of the Coliseum, the Raiders announced a change in ticket prices for the 1993 season. Capacity at the stadium will be lowered to 68,000 for Raider games, and ticket prices have been reduced on about 25% of the remaining seats, the Raiders said.
A new pavilion section with armrest seats will be built 40 feet behind the east end zone, with tickets priced at $15.
In the new configuration, with the field lowered, new rows of seats built in front of the existing stands, and the surrounding track removed, seats will be priced at $42, $38, $35, $25 and $15.
The renovation is expected to be completed for the start of the Raiders’ 1993 regular season. The Raiders will have no exhibition games at home because of the construction.
