U.S. Cartoonists

I beg to differ with Colin Baker’s assertion in the March 30 World Report (“Cartoon Stars Take Around-the-World Cruise”) that there aren’t enough people in the U.S. to do American animation. Plenty of talented American artists are ready, willing and able to do the work. What is lacking is a strong desire on the part of American animation producers to pay livable wages to have the work done domestically. If there is anyone in Los Angeles who can live on $40 a week, I would love to meet them.
