Politics on TV: Ross Perot is returning to the airwaves. NBC announced Thursday that the billionaire has purchased the 7-7:30 p.m. slot on April 25 to discuss President Clinton’s economic plan and tax increase. . . . Meanwhile, Vice President Al Gore will be on NBC’s “Today” show this morning to answer viewer questions about the Clinton Administration.
Coming to Town: Black Entertainment Television’s news department joins those converging on Los Angeles for the Rodney G. King civil rights trial. “BET News” will cover the latest developments live today at 3:30 p.m., and “Lead Story,” the network’s round-table discussion show, will provide live analysis by journalists Dewayne Wickham (USA Today), Allegra Bennet (Washington Times) and Sylvester Powell (Time magazine) on Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
