Larry Holmes, 43, stopped Ken Lakusta of Canada in seven rounds at Bay St. Louis, Miss.
Lakusta’s handlers called off the bout before the eighth round because of a cut below the eye.
Holmes, with three victories this year, raised his record to 57-4. Holmes said if a title fight is not lined up by June, his scheduled May 18 bout might be his last.
