Long Beach : Forum to Discuss City Pacts With Minorities, Women
- Share via
Black leaders are sponsoring a symposium tonight to discuss the city’s record on awarding contracts to firms owned by minorities and women.
The Black American Political Assn. of California, long concerned that Long Beach does little to hire businesses owned by minorities and women, will conduct the 7 p.m. session in the auditorium of Pacific Hospital, 2776 Pacific Ave.
E. Thomas Jennings, president of the Black Business and Professional Assn., said he hopes the symposium will result in recommendations to the City Council.
