Teacher Suzan Barron of Covina has won the LeARN “Learning Award” for 1993 from the adult education division of the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. The award aims to reward cultivation and appreciation of diversity, and promotes choice as a catalyst to quality education.
Barron began her teaching career with the Hacienda-La Puente district in 1971. She has worked with children and adults, seeking innovative alternatives to the usual methods of teaching. She has been an advocate of alternative education programs for many years.
