Money magazine’s April issue includes a list of the top 50 U.S. job markets. Ranking No. 2 is the greater Anaheim area, which the magazine says is expected to add 108,800 jobs by 1995.
The projections were made by Woods & Poole Economics, a research concern based in Washington. Among the fastest-growing occupations in the Anaheim area, the company said, will be sales manager, financial service representative and photographer.
Ranking ninth on the list is the greater Riverside area, where the top growth occupations will be sales manager, designer and accountant.
Jersey Gilbert, statistics editor for Money, said he is well aware that Southern California is still in a recession. “You’ve got to keep in mind that these are projections to 1995,” he said. “That doesn’t mean things are going to be good this year.”
No. 1 city on Money’s list: Washington.
