Mission Viejo Girls Win at Soccer Event

Goalkeeper Traci Jensen made five saves to lead the Mission Viejo Herricanes to a 1-0 victory over Carmel (Ind.) Cosmos in the first round of the Dallas Cup girls’ under-19 division.

Kim Campbell scored in the first half for the Herricanes.

Josh Keller scored to give Mission Viejo Pateodores a 1-1 tie with Mexico City UNMA Pumas in the boys’ under-19 division. The Dallas Sting defeated the Mission Viejo Goalstrikers, 2-0, in the girls’ under-16 division.
