A 40-year-old Studio City man died in a fire in the garage of his apartment house, authorities said Sunday.
The death of Norman Cain is being investigated as a suicide, said a Los Angeles County coroner’s spokesman.
Cain’s body was found in the garage in the 12240 block of Moorpark Street about 11 p.m. Friday after the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to calls, the coroner’s spokesman said.
Fire officials extinguished the blaze and discovered the body. Cain had apparently poured gasoline on the dashboard of his car and lit it, Fire Department spokesman Bob Collis said.
