JERUSALEM — An Arab assailant stabbed a Jewish settler to death and Israeli troops shot dead a stone-throwing Palestinian on Monday as a spate of violence in the occupied lands showed no signs of abating.
In the Gaza Strip, Shaya Deutch, a 40-year-old settler, became the 11th Israeli killed this month when he was stabbed by a killer who escaped.
In the occupied West Bank, troops opened fire on stone-throwing Palestinians in the Jalazone refugee camp, killing Ahmad Mohammed Yusef Elyan, 22, and wounding five Arabs.
