El Monte : Red Cross Office Opens

The American Red Cross has opened a new office in El Monte, its sixth San Gabriel Valley chapter.
The office, 3557 Lexington Ave., opened Thursday. It will provide classes, organize volunteers and help people who need disaster assistance.
Local Red Cross volunteers have helped out after disasters around the world, including Hurricane Andrew in Florida and Typhoon Omar in Guam.
