Alain Prost won the provisional pole position at Sao Paulo, Brazil, in the first qualifying session for Sunday’s Brazilian Grand Prix.
The French driver clocked a lap of 1 minute 16.809 seconds, around the twisting, 2.68-mile Interlagos track, averaging 125.959 m.p.h. in a Williams-Renault.
