Professors Nominated for Economic Council

WASHINGTON — President Clinton says he plans to nominate Stanford University economics professor Joseph Stiglitz to the Council of Economic Advisers. Clinton also reaffirmed his intention to nominate Princeton University economics professor Alan Blinder to the council. Blinder has been on leave from the university to serve as the Administration’s chief economist.
