World IN BRIEF : COSTA RICA : 5 Gunmen Collect Ransom and Leave

Five gunmen who occupied the Nicaraguan Embassy for 13 days collected a $250,000 ransom and released the last of their 25 hostages before being permitted to leave the country. Three left aboard a Costa Rican helicopter to join rebels in Nicaragua. The group’s leader, Jose Urbina Lara, and a fifth member left for political asylum in the Dominican Republic.
