COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Harris Pitches Christ College Irvine to 11-2 Victory Over Wisconsin Superior

Shawn Harris allowed one earned run over 7 2/3 innings, striking out eight, to lead Christ College Irvine’s baseball team to an 11-2 victory over Wisconsin Superior Monday at CCI.
Mike Crumrine had three hits, two runs batted in and a run scored and Gary Sussman had two RBIs and a run scored for the Eagles (7-9-2). Barrett Bernard had two RBIs and two runs scored for CCI.
San Diego Invitational golf tournament:
UC Irvine Ninth--Irvine and Loyola Marymount were tied for ninth after first-round 309s Monday at the Stardust Country Club.
Leader Mike Porco of Washington State shot 71. Mike Christensen and Tim Hart shot 76s for Irvine. The 54-hole tournament concludes today.
At the Rebel Spring Games softball tournament:
Chapman 2, Livingston (Ala.) 0 (8 innings)--Wendy Clemens doubled home Jen Wagner in the top of the eighth then scored later on a throwing error for the Panthers (6-8) in Orlando, Fla. Deann Ford pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts to earn the victory for Chapman, which improved to 3-1 in the tournament.
The Panthers lost to American International (Mass.), 2-0, in the second game Monday.
In Big West Conference women’s tennis:
Cal State Fullerton 7, Cal State Long Beach 2--All three doubles teams swept for the Titans (2-9, 1-2) at Long Beach.
