Cal Poly Pomona Beats UC Riverside

Mildred Conston scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds, both team highs, and Jennifer Harney added 11 points to lead Cal Poly Pomona’s women’s basketball team to a 62-49 victory over UC Riverside in an NCAA Division II West Regional game Friday night at Pomona.
Pomona, which improved its record to 26-2, advances to play Portland State today.
Riverside, which shot 36.8% and turned the ball over 31 times, finished with a 17-11 record.
