Report on Human Rights
Human rights are being violated all over the world, including this country. The violator identifies a person as bad or less than human. Then the violator can justify anything he does to him. He can repress, torture or kill--and often does. This goes on all over the world--in China, Bosnia, Sudan--even in our country.
We must realize that every human being--no matter how poor, how despised, how much an exile--has a worth that infinitely exceeds all the wealth in the world. No one should be deprived of security, dignity, freedom. If one is, then that reflects on us. We lose some of our dignity, our freedom, our respect because we are all one in our humanity.
