Youths Find Human Bones in Field
Two children uncovered human bones wrapped in a tarp in a Newhall field, a Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy said Saturday.
The children found the bones, believed to be the remains of a man, Friday evening while digging a hole in a field in the 23400 block of San Fernando Road, Deputy Diane Hecht said. A sock filled with bones was also discovered in the pit, which measured 6 feet by 6 feet by 5 feet deep.
The Los Angeles County coroner’s office will determine the identity of the remains, Hecht said.
