What Nelson doesn’t seem to understand is that Jews are always walking a tightrope,whether in Europe, Jackson, or even Los Angeles, where desecration and vandalism of temples and synagogues are an ongoing cancer. Jews never know when covert anti-Semitism will turn overt, when a hushed whisper will become a loud taunt, when the taunt will become a bomb.
Nelson belabors the point that Jews in Jackson bent over backward to assimilate, but I cannot blame or condemn those Jackson Jews.
