DIVISION IV-AA, IV-A ROUNDUP : Corona del Mar Advances; Three Other County Teams Ousted

Todd Merriman had 24 points and nine rebounds to help Corona del Mar to a 58-45 victory over St. Anthony Friday in a second-round Division IV-AA game.
Chris Quinn added 13 rebounds for the Sea Kings (15-12). Rick Price led St. Anthony (11-15) with 19 points.
In another Division IV-AA game:
St. Bernard 54, Laguna Beach 53--Terrell Hickmon made two free throws with nine seconds remaining for St. Bernard (12-14). Taylor Butcher had 22 points for Laguna Beach (14-10).
In Division IV-A games:
Santa Monica Crossroads 92, Orange Lutheran 54--Six-foot-9 center Austin Croshere had 22 points to lead top-seeded Crossroads (21-3) over visiting Orange Lutheran (11-12). Rod Sherman had 13 points for Orange Lutheran.
Sun City Village Christian 65, Whittier Christian 63--Jason Hyde’s shot bounced off the rim with two seconds left, and the Heralds lost a first-round game in Sun City. Guards David Fennell (19), Chad Hanson (18) and David Gustafson (12) led the Crusaders. Hansen and Gustafson were a combined seven for 10 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter while the Heralds attempted no free throws.
Tyler Ream led the Heralds with 26 points.
