Two men convicted in the sale of $400,000 worth of cocaine to undercover officers were sentenced Tuesday to seven years in prison by Superior Court Judge Lawrence Storch.
A jury found Refugio Arballo and Martin Sanchez guilty last December of selling and transporting nearly 9 pounds of cocaine, and possession of cocaine for sale.
The conviction included a special charge because the amount of cocaine involved exceeded 3 pounds.
The men were arrested at an Oxnard motel July 14, culminating a four-month investigation by Oxnard and Ventura police, assisted by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
A third defendant, Moises Lopez-Jaimes, pleaded guilty to transporting cocaine and was sentenced earlier to one year in prison.
