Seifert Wants No Quarterback Deal

San Francisco Coach George Seifert said he would like to keep quarterbacks Joe Montana, Steve Young and Steve Bono on the 49ers next season.
In an interview with the San Francisco Examiner, Seifert said he will evaluate all three and believes Montana appears “able to play again†and ready to fight Young for the starting job after a series of elbow operations.
