Long Beach : Group Wants Park Area Where Dogs Can Exercise
- Share via
The City Council has tentatively approved an ordinance that would allow a citizens group to create a city park area where dogs can run free.
Councilman Douglas S. Drummond proposed the change on behalf of a group called the Long Beach Dog Park Committee. The group would have to pay for a fence, trash cans, signs and any other expenses related to the exercise area, Parks Director Ralph S. Cryder said.
The Dog Park Committee, which proposed that the exercise area be at Recreation Park, has been asked to submit a specific proposal for City Council approval.
