Clinton on Higher Taxes
So Clinton and his staff say it’s time for Americans to sacrifice and that, says his new deputy budget director, “In the end, everybody will have to give up something.â€
Does that mean Clinton will have to start clipping ketchup coupons when gas costs more? Will his deputy budget director drive a Corolla after “we†all start giving things up?
It is an outrage that politicians live and work in relative luxury through taxpayers’ money, and it is more outrageous that they call upon the middle class to sacrifice further with no sacrifice of their own. Our public servants have become royalty riding our backs who now bend down to tell us we must carry more weight.
Get off it! Start showing how you, too, are going to dig deep from your own pockets to cut the deficit you helped create, or we’ll replace you with Americans who will.
This feels like Kuwait. Our middle class fights Operation Make Ends Meet so our politicians can keep their gold fixtures.
