World record-holder Butch Reynolds said he was stunned by the IAAF’s weekend action and suggested he was a victim of racism and anti-American sentiment by the world governing body for track and field.
The International Amateur Athletic Federation on Saturday gave Reynolds a one-month deadline to suspend all legal action against it and withdraw his allegations of misconduct over a failed drug test.
The IAAF did not specify what action it might take if Reynolds did not meet the deadline.
