Platform : Is There a Need for a Gay University?

I don’t think there is a need for a gay and lesbian university. If gays and lesbians want a university, that’s fine. But I can’t support it--nor do I want my tax dollars to go toward such a university.

I’m not in favor of legislating or institutionalizing a gay or lesbian lifestyle because I’m a Christian. I wouldn’t want this institution to set a precedent which could send a message condoning homosexuality in public or private schools.

I’m pretty sure that the gay and lesbian community has become accustomed to the disapproving attitude of many Christians. I’m not trying to sound antagonistic. I believe God loves everyone and God requires us to love one another. I just believe that homosexuality is a sin.
