In response to James Michener’s “A Biblical Parable for Our Times,” Commentary, Jan. 15:
Michener failed to mention the reason God forgave David subsequent to the Bathsheba affair: After Nathan the prophet confronted David, David said to Nathan, “I have sinned against the Lord” (2 Samuel 12:13).
